The British Canoeing Paddlesport Leader Award is for people wanting to lead Safe, Enjoyable and Engaging trips in Sheltered Water Environments such as Rivers, small lakes and Sheltered estuaries. Groups lead can be in Canoes, Kayaks or Stand-Up Paddleboards

This 1-day Assessment covers all aspects of Participant Focused Leadership, Personal Paddling Skills, Safety and Rescue and Underpinning Background Knowledge, Understanding and Experience. During the assessment you will be leading a group of between 4 and 6 participants in a mixed fleet of Canoe, Kayak and SUP.

Run on an on-demand basis for 1 assessment candidate in either the Thames valley or South Coast harbours.

£250 per participant including all BC Awarding Fees.

The British Canoeing Paddlesport Touring Leader Award is for people wanting to lead Safe, Enjoyable and Engaging trips on Moderate Open Water (Up to 500m from shore and winds up to force 4), slow moving water, slow-moving rivers up to and including grade 1, and which may include the occasional short rapid of grade 2 and simple safe weirs. Groups lead can be in any suitable paddle craft.

This 2-day Assessment covers all aspects of Participant Focused Leadership, Personal Paddling Skills, Safety and Rescue and Underpinning Background Knowledge, Understanding and Experience. During the assessment you will be leading a group of between 4 and 6 participants in a mixed fleet of Canoe, Kayak and SUP.

Run as a split assessment with a River Day based on the Wye or similar river and an Open Water Day based on the South Coast Harbours.

These assessments are run for between 2 and 4 assessment candidates at £250 per participant including all BC Awarding Fees
