Circumnavigation of Hayling island, a 22km trip running with the tides taking in Langstone Harbour, Chichester Harbour and Hayling seafront.
Exploring the history and wildlife of one or both Harbours. From (Formally) floating WW2 concrete harbours to seal and bird spotting.
Develop your canoe skills in open water.
Taking the opportunity to do some canoe sailing.

The British Canoeing Awarding Body Coach Award is a the benchmark for anyone wanting to deliver progressive coaching in any Paddlesport discipline from beginners through to experienced paddlers wanting to improve heir skills in the given discipline or environment. The award focuses on the Who, Where, What and How of coaching.
It is also the recommended qualification for those who are “deploying “ Instructors and leaders, whether in a commercial, club or youth organisation context.
The training is split into 2 parts, both run over 2 days:
The Core Coach module is generic for all disciplines. It looks at Who we are coaching, what are their specific needs and how we can tailor their learning experience. We look at How we can coach? Exploring different coaching models and strategies to create enjoyable and engaging learning experiences.
The Discipline Specific Training (DST) focus on the specific requirements of a discipline and environment. Where we are coaching to get the most out of the environment and the What we are coaching. Looking at the specific skills and tactics needed in the chosen craft and environment.
We currently deliver the Sheltered water Coach (Canoe and Kayak) DST and the Sheltered Water Stand-Up Paddleboard Coach DST.
Following on from the training courses you then go for a 1 day assessment following a period of consolidation.
Canoeing has a rich history and a wide range of skills to explore which allows it to be something different for everyone.
Whether you want to learn to paddle your canoe Solo, have a skills brush up or want to really explore the diverse range of skills and techniques available to the canoeist. These Individual or small group days are what you need.
We will be running these at several venues (which may change due to the weather) to give you the chance to chose your learning environment from Inland river to open water. The day will start with a chat about where you are in your canoeing journey then we will come up with a plan for the day to best develop your skills. The content and coaching will be tailored to your goals and aspirations. We will finish the day with where to go next.
Sessions will run with just 1 participant and never more than 4 participants. The day runs from 10:00-16:00.
We provide Hou Prospector Canoes, along with access to paddles, sails, poles and any other kit you may need for these day. Licences and launching fees are included.
